Background: Jacob has been actively involved in the commercial construction and real estate industry since 1998 and joined Northern Builders, Inc. in 2006. As Director of Development, Jacob is responsible for the company’s land acquisition strategy and real estate development. Jacob also manages the due diligence process, governmental entitlement, annexations, zoning related issues, new Business Park master planning, and the estimating department. Jacob is also involved in the development of preliminary construction scope documents, design-build process, and permitting.

Involvement: Jacob is actively involved in the Chicago Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), the Chicago Chapter of U.S. Green building Council and the Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC). Jacob is also a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accredited professional and formerly served in the United States Marine Corp.
