History
Northern Builders, Inc. was founded in 1927 by Paul Grusecki, who combined the classic American traits of hard work and enterprise to build a construction business. Paul Grusecki would not tolerate the term “good enough”. The result is a tradition of excellence. Under the guidance of Mr Grusecki, his wife Mary, and his two sons, James and Thomas, Northern has grown into one of the largest full service development and construction companies in the Midwest.

As a privately held company, Northern distinguishes themselves from their competition by using their in-house development expertise and construction experience to initiate creative and aggressive deal structures. By providing a single source of responsibility, Northern serves as one-stop shopping for our existing and prospective clients.

Today, Northern continues to operate with the same hands on approach, entrepreneurial spirit and personal commitment to excellence that was present when the company was founded in 1927. With clients ranging from emerging businesses to Fortune 500 corporations, Northern has earned a reputation of creatively developing and constructing quality buildings…on or ahead of schedule.

Northern has participated in the design, development, and construction of over 40 million square feet of office and industrial space. Northern’s design-build construction methods allow our clients to manage the cost and construction schedule of their development from conception through completion. Our clients are encouraged to participate and take an active part in the design-build process. Through our direct focus on clients needs, we maintain the attitude that we are only as good as our last reference.
